Upcoming Medicine Walks

Join Miriam for guided medicine walks throughout the seasons. With a focus on building sensory and personal connection with the outdoor world, learn to identify the medicinal plants growing around you and their healing potential.

Terrace Walk, Ashburton, Devon - Mon 25th May 2026 11am-12.30pm

Discover the medicinal and magical potential of plants on Terrace Walk - a sweeping field that takes you down to Ashburton town and offers glimpses of south Dartmoor. With a focus on learning through sensory connection, we’ll explore plant identification, seasonal remedies, and safe foraging. Starting opposite the entrance to Terrace Walk footpath on the Ashburton-town side, the walk will take a leisurely pace exploring this and the adjacent field. It is on a steep slope and so the walk will involve some amount of walking up and down hill. Walking boots, layers and raincoats are always recommended for the changeable Devon climate. This course is suitable for anyone, from plant-curious to plant-passionate.

‘Miriam’s love of growing things and wild places is infectious! On a guided walk through what looked like any old grazing land, Miriam showed us a veritable garden of edible delights in the fields and banks - stopping and investigating the ground, suddenly a whole world of plants with their own stories of herbal cures and wild foods opened up to me. Would highly recommend a walk on the wild side with Miriam!’
